Habitat for Humanity International houses are sold with no profit made. Homeowners contribute "sweat equity" and house payments are recycled to build additional houses.
Second Use Building Materials


Donate Building Materials

Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County partners with Second Use Building Materials in Seattle and the Skagit Habitat Store in Mount Vernon.  Both  accept your donation of almost any items you take out of your home. Especially needed are doors, windows, cabinets (kitchen or other) and working appliances ( 10 years or less). The stores resell your new or used items for 50% to 70% off retail prices. Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County receives 50% of the profits which are then used in our Snohomish County building program, helping provide adequate housing for Snohomish County families.

The Skagit Habitat for Humanity Store is open for business from 10 AM to 6 PM Tuesday through Saturday, and donations are only accepted during business hours before 5:30 PM.  The Store address is 1022 Riverside Drive in Mount Vernon.  For directions and other information please visit
